Mission Statement

"To work in partnership with God and People everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovation houses so that there are decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends."

Licking County Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.  We were started November 22, 1987 at Granville Baptist Church, with our  first groundbreaking May 22, 1988. The Habitat program is about home ownership and providing a long-term solution designed to break the poverty cycle.

Since it’s inception, the Licking County Habitat for Humanity has built 23 new homes, and renovated and repaired two.  The total direct economic impact to our community has been $6,972,000.

The total assessed value of our Habitat homes is $2,000,000.  By building Habitat houses, the Licking County Habitat has helped increase our community’s tax base.  For the last five years, the total property tax paid by our homeowners is $34,308.92

The average monthly rental cost in our region is $650; yet the average monthly payment for a Habitat home in Licking County is $200.  Not only does this help our Habitat families, but that is $450 a month that can be used to buy goods and services in our area.

Our total volunteer investment for 2009 was $44,000.

The Licking County Habitat for Humanity is making a huge positive impact in our locality.

We invite you to be a part of our wonderful organization; let's change our community and the world.
